Firefighting efforts in Table Mountain National Park continue on Wednesday as wildfires spread towards Cape Town's CBD.

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is out of action on Wednesday after the fire department closed Tafelberg Road due to smoke in the area.

As wildfires continue to threaten Table Mountain, SANParks urges the public to adhere to trail closures for their safety.
