The first of four weeks for the PGA Tour in Florida begins with a trip to the challenging Champion course at PGA National.

After spending a lot of time out west, the PGA Tour returns to the eastern seaboard this weekend to begin a swing through Florida with the Cognizant Classic at The Palm Beaches. There are a number of storylines heading into the event, including Jordan Spieth making his debut at the Champion Course at PGA National.

Defensive tackle Davon Godchaux was granted permission to seek a trade by the New England Patriots, NFL Network reported Wednesday.

Luke Clanton's second attempt to earn his PGA Tour card comes at the Cognizant Classic on a course he estimates he's played 40 times.

This is a full-field PGA Tour event with 144 players scheduled to compete. Some of the notables in attendance include Jordan Spieth, Daniel Berger, Luke Clanton (a), Rickie Fowler, Russell Henley, Min Woo Lee and Shane Lowry.

Amateur golfer Luke Clanton, a junior at Florida State and a native of nearby Hialeah, Fla, says "it would mean the world" to him to secure his PGA Tour membership by making the cut at this week's Cognizant Classic in Palm Beach Gardens.
