Six people were injured in the fireworks explosion on a launch pad in Lake Martin on the Fourth of July. A pontoon boat that had been modified into a fireworks platform malfunctioned during the planned fireworks celebration.

The illegal rockets were set off on a boat rigged as a fireworks platform on Lake Martin, when something malfunctioned, leading to a massive explosion, WSFA reported.
