Anthony Volpe accidently hit Judge in the face with a toss, one of many mistakes the Yankees made in their 12-6 loss to the Mets for their sixth straight defeat.

In the second game of this Subway Series, Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe accidentally hit Aaron Judge in the head with a baseball. While it's normal for Judge to get thrown the ball as they head off the field, this time Judge wasn't looking and was hit in the face.

Aaron Judge didn't hesitate when asked on Saturday if the New York Yankees' six-game losing streak is "taking a toll" on his team.

The New York Yankees' pitching staff suffered another tough blow on Saturday. Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Clarke Schmidt will "likely" have Tommy John surgery, which would put an end to his 2025 season—and possibly cost him the majority of the 2026 season as well.
