Kyle Lowry has agreed to return to the 76ers on a one-year contract, a source confirmed to The Philadelphia Inquirer on Monday evening. Lowry, the North Philly native and former Villanova star, will play his 20th NBA season and continue with his hometown team after joining the Sixers off the buyout market in February 2024.

Veteran guard Kyle Lowry is officially returning for a 20th NBA season after re-signing with the Philadelphia 76ers on a one-year contract, agent Mark Bartelstein told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Despite playing for the 76ers each of the last two seasons, Lowry still plans to retire with the Raptors on a one-day contract.
