Kansas basketball has made an unexpected mark in a pretty rough way this season. For the first time in 80 polls, the preseason No. 1 team has fallen out of the AP Top 25, and they’re not alone in their struggle. In fact, half of the preseason Top 10 is now unranked—a rare event that’s only happened four times in the past 55 years.

The University of Kansas men’s basketball team dropped out of the Associated Press top 25 on Monday. The Jayhawks were ranked in each of the previous 80 weekly polls and were last unranked on Feb. 8,
