Crowley's bid to get her job back was almost certain to fail, given the fact that she needed 10 votes. Her only support came from Councilmembers Monica Rodriguez and Traci Park.

The Los Angeles City Council on Tuesday, March 4, voted to uphold former Fire Chief Kristin Crowley’s removal. In a 13-2 vote, the Council voted to deny Crowley’s appeal to get her job back and to support Mayor Karen Bass’s decision to remove her as head of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

While former Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley won’t be getting her job back, she’ll remain at the department under a lower rank, officials confirmed. According to the department, Crowley’s new title is Assistant Chief of LAFD’s Operations Valley Bureau.
