A 28-year-old Lakewood man arrested in Denver on Sunday after a shooting in Washington Park now faces charges of attempted murder, according to police.

Few details were immediately available but DPD said it was investigating a shooting there around 2:45 p.m. Multiple Denver cruisers were seen racing to the park with lights and sirens on.

Police are investigating a shooting in central Denver on Monday afternoon. Police said one victim was located in the shooting, which happened in the 1100 block of East Colfax Avenue. That's just east of Downing Street.
