The 57-year-old is perhaps college football's most popular figure. Yet, those hoping to mimic his role within Colorado's program will be left sorely disappointed — he's not in the game.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders said he’d like to see college football institute a salary cap. “This stuff has gone crazy. Nobody knows where it’s going to land, where it’s going to end,” he said during Big 12 Media Days at The Star on Wednesday.
