Charles Mesure is walking away from his role as Brennan on 'General Hospital after one year and will be replaced by soap veteran Chris McKenna.

Months after Mesure was introduced as Jack Brennan on General Hospital, he shared in an interview with Soap Opera Digest that he “had never really thought about [doing a] soap opera or General Hospital ” until the Writer’s Guild of America strike and the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Just as Carly Spencer and Jack Brennan's romance is heating up on General Hospital, Jack is about to get a new face in the form of One Life to Live vet Chris McKenna.

SOD added that daytime veteran Chris McKenna will assume the role of Brennan, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 4. He's best known in the soap world for his roles as Detective Mark Harding on The Young and the Restless and as Joey Buchanan on One Life to Live; he also briefly appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Dr. Hayden.
